The Chimneys Picnic area in the Smokies has a variety of wild flowers. On April 9th, we saw a large number of the Fringed Phacelia blooming in the picnic area near Route 441. From a distance it looked like snow.

Along the Nature Trail we saw Spring Beauty,

Trout Lily,

Rue Anemone,

Squirrel Corn,

and lots of Trillium

On the way back home we saw this Columbine along the Little River Road near Townsend.
